Rural Track Program

National Rural Track Rotations Commencing August 2022

Our programs for August 2017 have undergone significant changes from those advertised in 2016.
All programs throughout Scotland are now 3 years only, there will be no 4 year programs.

In the Rural Track Program we are moving towards rotations that spend the 3 years in the same location rather than moving to Inverness for some posts.  Western Isles and Oban are already finalised.  The Oban rotation will be based in Oban at Lorn and The Isles rural general hospital and Lorn Medical Practice in Oban and Taynuilt Medical Practice in Connel  with 6 months psychiatry down the road at Lochgilphead.  The Western Isles rotation will also be based entirely in the Western Isles.  We are hoping that by the time these rotations start in August 2017 that the Shetland rotation will also be entirely based on Shetland.

For all our rural Track rotations year 3 will be spent in general practice in or near your main location.

We are keen to give you an idea of what we are offering as early as possible but it should be understood that the rotations below are provisional and may be subject to change.
